New engine almost ready!
Well after many months my new engine is being assembled. There was a bit of a hold up as just as were going to start we disovered that we needed to fit a crankshaft collar as I am installing an N1 oil pump. The N1 pump creates more oil pressure than the standard one and as the factory crank has very little contact with the oil pump drive it is a must to fit a collar to extend contact with the drive. We have also fitted a oil restrictor in the block to stop too much oil getting to the head and possibly running the sump dry which can happen even though I am installing a larger capacity sump.
Some of the other goodies include....
JE forged pistons
N1 oil pump
N1 water pump
Eagle H Beam rods
steel head gasket
Tomei Poncams
adjustable cam gears
heavy duty timing belt
head has been CC'd and ported & polished
740cc injectors
HiEnergy sump
fully balanced
Garrett low mount turbo (don't ask what model as I took it off another car I imported)
other goodies include....
Z32 airflow meter
larger alloy radiator
300 x 600 x 100 front mount intercooler
oil cooler
Nismo engine and gearbox mounts
Nismo clutch pedal bracket that increases the bracket ridigidty by 1.75 times for improved clutch action
Apexi Power FC
1.5 way diff
To get the power to the ground I have bought some Bridgestone "R Comps"
